Wernersville prison

Well as I wrote about in the November Our Robesonia they are housing criminals in Wernersville. A newly released prisoner just finished 90 days at the country facility and proceeded to break into homes in Exeter. 4 houses they know of more they suspect. Yes we are lucky he moved out of this area to commit his crimes but the next one could commit any number of offenses right here close to home. I am shocked people are not talking more about this. Over half of the phone calls and emails I received on the subject people were unaware of what was going on on the State Hospital grounds. Wake up my neighbors they are housing, trying to rehab crooks, rapists, abusers...What do you know about or want to share on this subject?

  1. Ummmm $10,000 worth of power tools taken from the Wernersville Correction Center through basement window. Wonder who could have done something like that? With all those criminals so close by and all.

  2. Maybe the WCC should have there own police force so Wernersville Borough wouldn't have to be concerned with patrolling the property especially now with the merger with Roby. It's funny how many of these "housed criminals" you see walking up and down 422 just waiting to jump ship. Under house arrest you wear an ankle bracelet why don't they have to? Makes one think...

  3. Wernersville Borough does NOT patrol the property at the State Hospital. South Heidelberg Police Department handles any/all calls for this area. When one of these "reforming" criminals jump ship, Wernersville PD is called in as well as State Police and most of the other surrounding munincipality police departments to help to recapture them.

  4. I wish I could go to Redner's without all them sitting on the railings outside staring at you, or following us women around inside the store making rude remarks. I've been in there twice in the past two weeks, where about 6-8 of them got off bus and followed me into store. They followed me through store making remarks like "now there's a snack I could munch on all weekend". Till I was done getting the few things I needed, I had been subjected to numerous sexual remarks like this. I actually feared going back for milk in the event they'd drag me back into the warehouse, which is right there. I'm 48 yrs old and grew up here and NEVER had to fear going to the store before!! I work hard all day and shouldn't have to put up with this nonsense while trying to grab something for dinner.
If they're talking like this to me, what are they saying to our teen daughters when they go in there. Its even worse on welfare check weeks, as the numbers of them getting off bus are higher. Now a beer mart has moved next to Redners, so I'm sure they'll be there now too, drinking it up on your tax dollars, and continuing to harass the women of this area.
